A fresh white wedding with a twist of lime
For this fabulous white and lime wedding inspiration shoot, we wanted to bring a new look to the tradition of the white wedding by styling it with a modern twist and bold, zesty pops of lime.
With beautiful photography by Fiona Kelly and shot in the undiscovered Central London gem of the Royal Geographical Society these gorgeous, fresh images show that you can create a visually stunning wedding with a simple, easy colour scheme.
We loved the idea of a simple, elegant and yet detailed style using graphic elements and textures and we introduced a modern, travel theme as an alternative to all those vintage maps, starting with a seating plan that’s a suspended arrangement of bright green, paper aeroplanes!
The table setting was super simple with the zesty, lime tableware and glasses set off against the crisp, white linen. The chair backs were draped with white voile and lime green ribbons – an easy way to bring the colour scheme into the reception.
Each place was set with cute cards in the shape of paper aeroplanes from Design by Bionic, and the travel themed menus were creatively suspended around the side of the table with lime ribbon to give more space on the table top.
The stunning floral displays from Blue Sky Flowers brought height and texture to the tables, with Guelder roses, Anastasia green chrysanthemums, and neon green Hydrangeas layered into white opaque vases. Each place setting was then topped off with a feathery, lime Shamrock chrysanthemum. Perfect for this white and lime wedding style.
The simple detail and clean lines extended to the elegant wedding cake by Little Boutique Bakery – a white on white confection decorated with layers of fondant circles.
To complement the modern feel of this shoot, two stunningly simple gowns. The first a beautiful strapless Jesus Peiro, with layers of cascading, tulle ruffles accessorised with satin pumps by Marsha Hall, embellished with embroidered flowers. We styled this with a bold, green statement necklace, a great way to bring a contemporary feel to your outfit and a simple cascading bouquet of trailing green Amaranthus, Roses and Hydrangeas.
Our model Bryony Robertson looked stunning with hair and beauty by Sjaniel Turrell. The second gown is a strikingly beautiful, delicate halter neck design from Kobus Dippenaar an amazing new South African designer. His designs are available exclusively in Europe via Morgan-Davies Bridal who kindly provided the dresses for this shoot. Our stylist Andri Benson, assisted by Wendy from Ginger Weddings, created an almost ethereal setting with layers of white voile & tulle and a diaphanous, white cape from Novia D’art. The luscious, lime green velvet shoes from Marsha Hall and the gorgeous, oversized fascinator from Malis Henderson complete the fresh, contemporary look.
Enjoy this fabulous white and lime wedding inspiration.
