Colourful wedding at The Walled Garden at Cowdray wedding
If you’re planning a colourful summer wedding, you’ll love this colourful The Walled Garden at Cowdray wedding for inspiration!
The excitement before the West Sussex wedding
I started at The Spread Eagle hotel in Midhurst, where Natasha and her friends and mum were getting ready. It was very relaxed, everyone was in a good mood and enjoying the morning together. Natasha wore a stunning lacy dress by Catherine Dean and Andrew wore a navy suit by Richard James. They looked really amazing!
The West Sussex church wedding ceremony
The wedding took place at Sacred Heart Church in Petworth, and was wonderful ceremony. They had several beautiful readings from friends and family, and the ceremony was quite emotional. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we did a confetti tunnel outside the church door.
The celebrations at the Walled Garden at Cowdray after the ceremony
The wedding reception took place The Walled Garden at Cowdray, which is a wonderful venue for a summer wedding reception.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests wandered the gardens, enjoying the drinks and canapés, I captured candid photos of everyone. There were garden games and a live musician to keep everyone entertained. Natasha & Andrew chatted with their guests and enjoyed time with their fave people. Towards the end of the reception, we took a walk for some relaxed couples photos.
The wedding decor was colourful and personal. Natasha had made crocheted doilies for the tables and Andrew had made the table numbers out of coloured perspex. The ring Andrew had proposed with was one he had made out of perspex. I love such a personal way to propose.
Some wonderful speeches followed dinner. A mix of heartfelt and slightly embarrassing stories brought laughter and happy tears.
We had the most beautiful sunset so I took the opportunity to capture a few more photos of Natasha and Andrew. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful evening and making the most of the sunshine.
When it came time for the first dance, Andrew played his guitar and sang to everyone before the DJ took over and everyone piled on the dance floor.
