This was the most beautiful rustic countryside tipi wedding. A wonderful laid back day filled with fun, colour and love.
Getting ready for your wedding at home
Lauren and Tom got ready at their home with Lauren in their own house and Tom in the next door cottage. The couple lives next door to Tom’s parents, who’s house sits within a few acres of land. It was the perfect spot for a colourful countryside wedding reception.
They had friends and family buzzing around, helping with last minute arrangements, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. Lauren was very calm, having her hair done by her bridesmaids and doing her own makeup. The groom left with his ushers and shortly after the wedding party then jumped into an awesome VW van to travel to the ceremony. It was touch and go for a while as we hit heavy traffic going into Arundel. Their wedding was the same day as the towns Summer fair, so it was very busy!
Arundel Town Hall wedding ceremony
The ceremony was a lovely ceremony in a beautiful town hall in Arundel. The location was a fabulous old building in the middle of the town. A grand entrance with a winding staircase leads to a large and bright ceremony room. It was a happy, emotional and really wonderful ceremony.
Rustic country wedding – the afternoon
Part one of their reception was canapes and drinks at the town hall. There’s a large balcony and outdoor area at the Town Hall, which was a perfect spot for a few celebratory drinks after the I do’s. Part two of the reception was back at the family home. The epic rustic countryside tipi wedding!
I travelled with Lauren & Tom in their VW Van back to the house. On the way, we did a few detours to capture some photos of the couple in the countryside they loved. We arrived back to cheers, confetti and very happy guests ready to celebrate this special day.
The couple and their family created the most wonderful reception venue. A perfect rustic countryside tipi wedding. Bright coloured ribbons, flowers by Fleurs Florist, pompoms, a homemade bar and so much more. It was a testament to Laurens creativity and everyone’s hard work. For the food, they went all out with amazing street food. Thai Angle did the food for the wedding breakfast… and it was amazing!
Festival wedding reception evening
The day turned to the evening. Speeches were done after the food and brought some emotional moments along with plenty of laughs. Instead of dessert, the couple had a cake table, so once speeches had finished everyone made a beeline for the cakes and doughnuts. The evening was warm and sunny. The couple and their guests enjoying sitting outside on the haybales taking in the evening air and enjoying a few more drinks.
Their evening guests arrived and I was very excited to see they had Hermanos Taco van for the evening food. It was soon time for dancing and the first dance was followed by everyone piling onto the dance floor, ready to party the night away.
I enjoyed every bit of Lauren & Tom’s amazing and colourful rustic countryside tipi wedding. A truly special day for two very special people.
