Top tips for how to choose your bridesmaids dresses
A guest post by Two Birds Bridesmaid
Today I’m really pleased to share valuable advice from Two Birds Bridesmaid who have kindly sent through some wedding top tips on how to choose your bridesmaids dresses.
Now, over to Gill from Two Birds…
Choosing dresses for your bridesmaids can be very tricky. The vast majority of bridal parties have beautiful ladies who are different shapes, sizes and skin tones so finding a dress that fits in with the overall tone or theme of the wedding whilst also keeping everyone happy can be a real challenge!
TwoBirds multi-way dresses are the perfect choice for couples looking for a timeless, elegant solution to this – often stressful – issue.
If you’re at the very beginning of this process I’d recommend that you decide on your venue and outfit before embarking on the search for bridesmaids’ dresses as those decisions could greatly influence your final choice. Take into account any existing colour scheme at your chosen venue and the time of year you’ll be getting married, then think about the skin tone of your bridesmaids and what will suit them best. If possible, it’s better to allow your favourite ladies to try the colours on as you may be surprised at what suits people. Our beautiful heather colour, for example, is one that a lot of people THINK they won’t be able to wear but it actually looks amazing on most skin tones so be open-minded.
The days of forcing your girls to wear the same dress are well and truly over – much to the relief of bridesmaids around the globe! The reality is that one style most likely will not suit all and you want your girls to look – and feel – amazing, don’t you? Allowing them to choose the most flattering shape for them and wrap the dress how they feel comfortable will make them so grateful and we all know that happy bridesmaids make for happy brides. Twobirds dresses allow each bridesmaid to choose the style they feel great in while still retaining a cohesive look as a bridal party. Everyone wins!
Thanks so much to Two Birds Bridesmaid – I hope you all enjoyed this and it gave you some ideas on where to start with bridesmaids dresses. I have been to the Two Birds studio a couple of times to do shoots for Wedding Ideas Magazine and can definitely recommend a trip to see the ladies. The studio is a lovely oasis of calm in the middle of London’s Covent Garden.
Over to you… have you chosen your bridesmaids dresses yet? Are you going for the same style and colour or are you choosing different tones and different styles for your bridesmaids? Look forward to hearing your ideas and to know if this has been useful in assisting in how to choose your bridesmaids dresses.
