Hello October! It might still feel a little warm b Hello October! It might still feel a little warm but cooler days are around the corner. While I photograph a lot of proposals in Spring and Summer, I do love a gorgeous Autumn or Winter proposal. When the leaves turn, there’s a crisp coldness to the air and you can see your breath. There’s something really wonderful about misty mornings and wrapping up in cosy layers. This proposal took place in Kew Gardens last Winter and it was amazing. Your dog is part of your family so absolutely should be part of your photoshoot. Whether that’s a proposal, an engagement shoot or a family shoot we can include your dog if you would like to. Be warned they could take centre stage and ‘might’ just get a little more camera time!!

What starts with a chat and an idea often changes What starts with a chat and an idea often changes as plans are discussed and decisions are made. Finding the right location, the right time and the right way to propose is very personal. It has to be right for both people so a plan has to adapt. When Dom got in touch he wanted the moment he proposed to be just right for Lydia. He knew she wanted the moment to be as private as possible but he also knew she would love the gardens in Holland Park. After a few chats, trying to work out a time that might work he made the decision to propose the day before their trip to London. This way the moment could be just the two of them and our plan for the photo session could become a celebration of their engagement. They had their special moment, and also got photos to share and announce that they had got engaged.
