Botleys Mansion wedding photography
When Zerin and Mark got in touch with me about their Botleys Mansion wedding photography, I was so excited. Autumn is my favourite season and I love a Botleys Mansion wedding! They were planning the most fun wedding with traditional Turkish dancing, music and more. Zerin and Mark are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Ahead of the big day they chose to do an engagement shoot. Zerin was a little nervous about having photos taken so this was a perfect chance to catch up, get to know each other and get some relaxed photos of the two of them.
Bride and groom prep at Botleys Mansion
We started at Botleys Mansion where both the bride and groom were getting ready. I spent the morning with the Zerin, while my second photographer, Emma, was with Mark. The morning prep time was so relaxed, because everyone was in a good mood and looking forward to the day ahead. Zerin’s mum helped her into her dress, a gorgeous lace detailed style. She did a first look with her bridesmaids, who were so excited. Mark chose a navy tweed suit and together they looked wonderful.
Botleys Mansion wedding ceremony
The wedding took place in the Green Room in Botleys Mansion. The room was decorated with the most beautiful flowers and it a was wonderful ceremony. Zerin’s dad got a little emotional while he walked her down the aisle. They had several beautiful readings from friends and family, which was very special. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then made their way outside for confetti time and the drinks reception.
Wedding reception at Botleys Mansion
It was a bright and dry day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed canapés and drinks, I did some family photos. While Zerin and Mark mingled with their guests we captured candid photos of the reception time.
The wedding breakfast took place in the Atrium, which was decorated so with the most amazing flowers. Zerin and Mark chose colours that captured the feel of Autumn and florists Holly & The Ivy created beautiful, natural flower decorations. It looked so stunning.
The couple were welcomed into dinner by musicians playing traditional Turkish music, which went down a storm. There were table games before dinner, which everyone enjoyed. After dinner we grabbed a few moments for some sunset photos. It was then time for speeches, which were both funny and heartfelt. After cutting the cake it was time to make their way onto the dance floor. The fun started with the traditional Turkish wedding dance called the Testi. Two clay pots are passed around before ending up with the bride and groom who smash the pots, which are filled with coins and sweets. It was a lot of fun.
Everyone then piled onto the dance floor, which was packed all evening. I had a blast capturing Zerin and Marks Botleys Mansion wedding photography. Enjoy sharing their day.
Lovely words from Zerin & Mark
“Fiona took the most amazing photos for our wedding and we couldn’t have asked for more! She was amazing throughout the whole process, so friendly and helpful and made sure we felt at ease. We’ve had our photos back and can’t get over how wonderful they are and how they capture the pure joy we felt on the day. Thank you Fiona!”
