Elegant early Summer wedding at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park.
I do love a wedding at Pembroke Lodge. I’m on the preferred supplier list at the venue so get to photograph a number of weddings there each a year. It’s always a lovely place to celebrate a wedding. For Ashleigh and Vincenzo it was a really special and very emotional day. Ashleigh is Australian and Vincenzo is Italian. They met while working in London and it was love at first sight! Their home is now in this fabulous city so they chose to marry here, which meant their families travelled from across the globe to be there to support them and watch them say ‘I do’. For their special day, they chose an early summer wedding at Pembroke Lodge, a lovely time of year with warm weather, flowers galore and plenty of sunshine.
Both bride and groom got ready at the Richmond Gate Hotel and then made their way, separately, through Richmond Park to Pembroke Lodge. They couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. Lovely, warm weather, a light breeze and a really joyous occasion. It was a real pleasure to be surrounded by such love and to capture the wedding of two people so completely into each other.
I loved that they chose bright colours for an early Summer wedding. Lots of yellow, white and green made for a really vibrant and fresh look.
There were laughter and happy tears a-plenty. Lots of prosecco, lots of fun and so much joy. Vincenzo’s family only speak Italian, so each speech was translated by Vincenzo’s sister from Italian or into Italian. When two families are joined by such love it doesn’t matter that there wasn’t a common language. The warmth of the hugs and the happy smiles made it totally clear how everyone felt.
