A Sunny Summer Greenwich engagement shoot
Helen & Martyn live in South East London, not far from Greenwich, and they love where they live. When they started planning their wedding, they wanted to keep everything close to the area they love, so it made sense to have a Summer Greenwich engagement shoot. They live only a few minutes walk from Greenwich Park, and it really is a beautiful place for photos.
We planned their engagement shoot for a day in July and were thrilled to get a gorgeous sunny day. We met slightly later in the day, in the hope of some lovely early evening light, and we weren’t disappointed. Spending time with Helen & Martyn is very easy and very lovely. They are so comfortable in each others company and clearly perfect together. We wandered enjoying the warm Summer afternoon, chatted loads about how they met and their wedding plans, and I took photos as we did this.
They admitted to me after that they had been very nervous about having their photo taken. Happily, the way I work (lots of chatting as well as the photos!) easily lets people relax. There’s no pressure to act a certain way or pose for photos. After a couple of hours, we parted ways, all very excited about the fact the next time we would catch up would be on the wedding day!
