A sunny Spring wedding at Pembroke Lodge
(If you love romantic weddings and Krispy Kreme then you’ll enjoy this!)
Areti and Tim got married at the beautiful Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park, on a gorgeous sunny Spring day. It was a fun wedding, with pretty white and green florals as the main decor and a Krispy Kreme tower as their wedding cake.
Bridal prep at The Richmond Gate Hotel
Areti got ready at Richmond Gate Hotel with her mum and friend. There was such a calm vibe to the morning. Areti is the loveliest person, she makes you feel instantly welcome. While the makeup was done she was clearly having a lovely time, joking and chatting. It was really fun hanging out with her during the bridal prep. She wore a gorgeous princess-style dress from David’s Bridal and looked so beautiful. She then hopped into a fancy wedding car to get to the ceremony.
Tim also got ready at Richmond Gate Hotel. My second shooter, Jesse, joined him for the morning and had fun hanging out with the groom and his best man. He wore stylish navy tails, hired from Debenhams, and looked really dapper. They also travelled to the ceremony by car.
The ceremony & reception at Pembroke Lodge
The ceremony took place in the light-filled Belvedere Suite at Pembroke Lodge. The ceremony area was filled with the prettiest flowers, which was perfect for a sunny spring wedding. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of lots of laughter and so much love. Areti and Tim smiled and giggled through the whole thing and clearly enjoyed the first kiss to celebrate their marriage!
After the ceremony, the couple walked back down the aisle and were covered in confetti! Their guests joined them on the terrace for drinks and canapes. After some time mingling, we went for couples portraits. I got some really beautiful portraits as they enjoyed some time together. The weather was perfect, it was such a beautiful day. You couldn’t have asked for more for their Spring wedding at Pembroke Lodge.
Areti and Tim chose to have their wedding at Pembroke Lodge because they love Richmond Park and the amazing views. It’s a stunning venue, with such a unique feel to it.
Everyone was then called in for the wedding breakfast, which was delicious. They had speeches after the meal, with lots more laughter and stories childhood escapades and happy memories. The speeches were rounded up by bride, Areti, saying a few words. I am loving that more and more of my brides are making their own speeches!
After the speeches, it was time to cut the Krispy Kreme cake…slightly easier said than done but they managed to have a go.
The evening celebrations
As the happy couple and their guests made their way for coffee and drinks on the terrace the room was turned around ready for the evening party. We had the most wonderful sunset that day, so I whisked Areti and Tim away for a few minutes to capture some gorgeous early evening photos.
When we returned it was time for the first dance. After dancing with Tim, Areti then had a dance with her dad. It was very sweet. The dancefloor then filled and that was the party going strong. The couple had arranged for a photo booth for the evening, which everyone loved. The accessories soon made it onto the dancefloor, making for some weird and funny photos!
It was a wonderful day for two of the loveliest people. One that I was thrilled to be a part of and photograph. Do enjoy this sunny Spring wedding at Pembroke Lodge.
