A stylish Summer Hampton Court House wedding
When Charlie and Jon first got in touch with me about their Hampton Court House wedding photography, I was so excited – they were planning wonderful, stylish and fun wedding with civil ceremony and reception at Hampton Court House. Not only is this a venue I love to work at, but I had already photographed the weddings of Jon’s two brothers so was thrilled to bits to be able to catch up with the family again. Charlie and Jon are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Getting ready
It was the most gorgeous sunny day when arrived at Charlie’s parents house, where the bridal party were getting ready. It was so chilled out when I arrived. All Charlies bridesmaids were there, everyone was doing their own make up round the table. It was a very laid back morning with lots of fun, chat and no pressure. A perfect way to start a wedding day. Charlie wore an amazing Louvienne Wren dress (which had pockets…a must have for all wedding dresses!) and Jon wore a three-piece suit and they looked really gorgeous.
The wedding ceremony at Hampton Court House
The wedding ceremony took place in the main hall at Hampton Court House, and was really wonderful ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which brought a few tears and lots of smiles. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then they were showered with confetti as they made their way outside for the reception drinks.
The wedding reception at Hampton Court House
The wedding reception took place in the gardens round the back of Hampton Court House. They had drinks and canapes in the gardens before moving inside for the wedding breakfast. They had decorated the room with the most beautiful flowers, including an awesome flower sphere which hung from the ceiling of the orangery.
It was a hot and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed the sunshine and celebrations, the couple mingled while I took candids. Towards the end of the reception I whisked Charlie and Jon off for a wander in the gardens. Hampton Court House has the most amazing Shell Grotto, which is such a unique place for photos. We arrived back in time to welcome the couple into their wedding breakfast.
Afterwards, they had some wonderful speeches and which brought more happy tears and plenty of laughs. Before long it was time for dancing. The DJ got the party started and everyone piled onto the dance floor after the first dance. It was an amazing day and was so much fun to be part of and to photograph.
Lovely words…
“Just a note to say sorry for the slow response, and a massive thank you for sending through the full photo gallery. We’ve absolutely loved looking through the full set of photos which are as amazing as we knew they’d be! We can’t wait to share with family and friends over the next few weeks.Thank you again from both of us for helping to make our wedding day such a special memory.”
