A pre-wedding couples shoot at The Hill Gardens Hampstead Heath
It was the most glorious morning when I met Parul & Avish at The Pergola and Hill Gardens Hampstead Heath. An early start meant we had the place to ourselves (just how I like it for a shoot!) and the beautiful sunny morning made it so worth the early hour. I have wanted to do photos at The Pergola in Hampstead Heath for so long and it did not disappoint. Its a gem of a location, with beautiful gardens, architectural details and so many wonderful little places to do photos. It fit perfectly with the outfits the couple chose to wear, lending a feel of elegance and old school glamour, while not being too grand.
Parul & Avish were rather excited when we met as they were actually heading off from the shoot to their legal wedding ceremony. This really was a proper pre-wedding shoot! They looked fabulous, with Parul in beautiful pastel peach and gold outfit with exquisite detailing and Avish in an elegantly tailored suit with shirt matching the tones of Parul’s dress. I was rather enamoured by the modern look of Parul’s dress as I had never seen that style before. She told me that it was by designer Anita Dongre, who had recently gained fame when The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, wore one of her designs during their tour of India!
They are clearly a great match, it was lovely to spend time with them, chat about how they met (online dating) and what they are looking forward to with the big celebrations coming up. They have the Mehndi and then the official Hindu wedding ceremony, both of which are going to be wonderful and a lot of fun to be a part of. I’m very much looking forward to capturing the rest of their marriage celebrations.
