Relaxed couples shoot at London Southbank

A relaxed couples shoot at London Southbank to celebrate getting engaged!

There are fewer places more iconic in London than Southbank. Walking along the area next to the Thames takes you from Houses of Parliament all the way down to Tower Bridge. Officially the area of Southbank ends around Blackfriars, but when I do routes for London photoshoots I often keep going a bit further down the river. Between these two spots you see so many London landmarks, as well as this being a fabulous area of London that gives so many options for great photos.

Minh and Hai got in touch because they were coming to London on holiday and wanted to capture some photos of the two of them. They were also celebrating their engagement, so it was a perfect excuse to dress up and have a couples shoot at London Southbank.

To beat the crowds we met up early. It was a beautiful day, warm and sunny. We spent a really lovely couple of hours slowly wandering, chatting about their wedding plans and stopping for photos along the way.

I decided to share only black and white photos from this shoot. The monochrome edit works so well to capture the mood and feeling of the photos against the iconic London backdrop.
