Springtime Gaynes Park wedding with the prettiest blush & green colour scheme
It was such a pleasure to photograph Amanda & Steve’s Springtime Gaynes Park wedding. From the start of the day it was very laid back, which set the precedent for the day that followed. Amanda and her bridesmaids got ready in the Apple Loft while Steve was in the Coach House with the guys. There was plenty of laughter and chat, with a bit of fizz to keep any nerves at bay. As the time for the ceremony approached dresses were put on, ties tied, flowers prepared and the final make up touches done.Gaynes Park wedding. Happily, the weather was on our side and Amanda and her bridesmaids walked through the beautiful gardens to the Orangery, where the ceremony was taking place. As she got to Steve they both had the biggest smiles on their faces and looked so excited. A really lovely ceremony followed, with plenty of laughter (especially when one of Amanda’s bridesmaids forgot where she was meant to stand) and a few happy tears from their families. The couple said ‘I do’ and had their first kiss as husband and wife to applause from their guests. After signing the register they made their way out to the gardens for confetti, drinks and time to celebrate. It was clear that everyone was very happy to see this lovely couple get married.
Towards the end of the reception I whisked the new Mr & Mrs away from their guests for a some couple time. A little wander and the chance for some relaxed photos of the two of them. Gaynes Park is a gorgeous venue with so many beautiful little spots for photos. The time flew by and it was soon time for them to be announced into dinner.
The speeches were a bit of a highlight of the day. Funny stories and a few heartfelt moments from Amanda’s dad, a brilliant speech by Steve (with a slip of the tongue bringing riotous laughter). The speeches were rounded off by the best man, who took the opportunity to embarrass the groom, as well as share best wishes!
It was soon time for the evening celebrations to begin. Drinks in the Orangery, followed by cake cutting and into the first dance. The guests all piled onto the dancefloor and really got the party started. There were some very impressive moves, particularly from Amanda’s step dad!
The day just flew by and before I knew it it was time for me to go. I had such fun photographing Amanda & Steve’s Gaynes Park wedding. They are the loveliest couple to spend time with and really did have a brilliant wedding day.
