Laura & Tom’s beautiful Northbrook Park Wedding
I was thrilled to bits when Laura & Tom got in touch about photographing their Northbrook Park Wedding. It’s not only a beautiful venue but I knew that these two would be such fun to spend the day with. Their plans for a fun, laid back and beautiful wedding sounded perfect.
The wedding took place at Northbrook Park and was a lovely day. They had a ceremony filled with smiles and emotion, which was so beautiful. Tom’s dad had a few teary moments as he watched his son say his vows. After the ceremony, there was a big cheer from everyone, and then they were showered with confetti. Before everyone moved through to the garden for the drinks reception there was an extra little surprise for Laura. Tom had arranged for her horse to part of the day. Laura was so happy and very surprised!
The wedding reception took place in the orangery at the same venue, which they’d decorated with gorgeous rustic flower arrangements, ‘plant a sunflower’ favours and the most amazing cakes made by Laura’s sister. It was pretty and personal.
It was a bright and sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed canapes and cocktails, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. My favourite photos from our couples session are the ones with the peacock. They say never work with animals and its so true. The peacock wasn’t playing ball but we finally managed a photo as it decided to photobomb!
Laura looked amazing in her stunning boho style dress from Luella’s Bridal. It was the perfect choice for her and fitted with the style and feel of their wedding. Tom also looked fabulous, in his Hugo Boss suit. They really do make a wonderful couple!
During the reception, they played lawn games, which was so much fun. They also had a harpist, providing lovely background music. It was soon time for the couple and their guests to enjoy the wedding breakfast. Laura & Tom made their entrance into the Orangery to cheers and went straight to cut the cake. Speeches followed dinner, and brought tears, laughter and a little embarrassment!
The evening party was a blast. Laura & Tom had a cake table, a popcorn table and amazing evening food by Mexican street food company, Killa Dilla. They led the way for the dancing and had the best time with their guests. It was a real pleasure to photograph this amazing day!
