Beautiful Spring Nonsuch Mansion wedding with the prettiest flowers
Alex and Nick had a beautiful Spring day for their Nonsuch Mansion wedding. It was warm and bright with the lightest clouds just masking the sun, which peeked through now and again.
I started the day with Alex and her bridesmaids in the gorgeous wedding dressing room at the venue. It was all very relaxed as the girls chatted, laughed and enjoyed a glass or two of Champagne. I loved the choices Alex had made for her hair and makeup on her wedding day. A beautiful, natural and effortless look that was a perfect fit for her gorgeous floaty Lusan Mansongus dress and stunning bouquet by Jay Archer. Going against the normal traditions Alex’s bridesmaids didn’t dress alike and they didn’t lead her way down the aisle. She had two flower girls, who made a perfect entrance leading the way for the bride.
When it was time for her to walk down the aisle Alex walked down on her own to meet her husband in waiting, Nick. The ceremony was simple but very lovely. There were beautiful readings by Nick’s mum and one of the couples friends. There were a few happy tears as the couple exchanged their vows. When the moment came and they were announced as husband and wife their guests cheered and applauded.
After the ceremony, their guests made their way outside, confetti in hand, ready to welcome the new Mr & Mrs The lovely morning had turned into an equally lovely afternoon and reception drinks were enjoyed outside in the gardens. After some time chatting and catching up with their friends and family, I took the happy couple for a wander around the grounds of Nonsuch Mansion. The gardens are beautiful all year round, so there is always plenty of choice for pretty spots for photos.
We returned from our stroll in time for speeches. I always enjoy the speeches, it’s a great opportunity to hear a few stories about the couple and wonderful to capture lots of great natural photos of the wedding guests.
That evening we had the most amazing sunset, so before the first dance, I grabbed Alex and Nick for a few more photos. Having an extra little bit of time together before the evening festivities kick-off is always a lovely thing to do, plus if it’s a gorgeous evening the photos are amazing!
We headed back for cake cutting, first dance and disco time. Lots of Alex and Nick’s guests piled on the dance floor, while few headed outside into the warm evening to take part in the garden games.
I really did enjoy being a part of Alex and Nick’s Nonsuch Mansion wedding. It was a beautiful, fun and laid back day celebrating the happiness of two really lovely people, and absolutely thrilled to have this wedding featured on Love My Dress here.
