Romantic Spring wedding at Oaks Farm in South London
If you’re planning a romantic Spring wedding at Oaks Farm in South London, you’ll love this!
Kimberley and Alex had their wedding at Oaks Farm, which is a real hidden gem in South London with pretty gardens, a modern barn and plenty of light and space. It was a wonderful, romantic and emotional wedding, with pretty green & white flowers, a vintage car and a sweetie table. The couple had a really special and very fun day with their favourite people.
Getting ready for their Oaks Farm wedding
The groom got ready at home with his friends. My fabulous second photographer spent the morning with Alex, capturing the laughs, nerves and celebrations ahead of leaving for the wedding venue.
The bride and party got ready at a lovely B&B close to Oaks Farm. When I arrived there was a lot of activity. Hair and makeup being done, clothes being ironed and shoes being cleaned. There was excitement and nerves and when it was time for Kimberley to get in her dress there were a few happy tears.
She travelled with her mum in a beautiful vintage car. Arriving at Oaks Farm it all got a bit much when she saw her dad waiting. Thankfully there were hankies on hand and soon it was time for Kimberley and Alex to get married.
Romantic Spring wedding ceremony at Oaks Farm
The ceremony took place in the old stable building, and was simply decorated with flowers at the end of each bench. The ceremony included some beautiful readings from friends and family. It was a romantic occasion, full of smiles and happy tears.
After the ceremony, all the guests made their way outside and we had a confetti aisle, which was so much fun. Who doesn’t love a load of confetti to get the celebrations going! I got some wonderful photos as Kimberley, Alex and their guests enjoyed the afternoon. The weather was warm but a little overcast, it was good weather for enjoying drinks in the gardens without getting too hot.
The garden drinks reception
The couple had a drinks reception in the gardens. They are such a pretty spot for a reception. There were plenty of drinks, canapés and a chance for the couple to catch up with their friends and family. After whisking the couple away for some photos and a bit of time together the guests were then called for dinner, which was a fabulous meal – it was delicious.
The dinner was held in the main building. The venue is perfect for weddings because it has so many options, and it’s got such an understated elegant rustic vibe. The inside and outside spaces are lovely, especially in the evenings when the golden sun is glowing.
The evening party
After some very funny (and slightly embarrassing) speeches, the couple and their guests tucked into the sweet table and enjoyed the last of the warmth outside. They cut the cake and the party got started. The DJ kept everyone entertained all evening. There was some wild dancing and I loved seeing Kimberleys mum holding her own on the dance floor!
Lovely words
“Thank you so much for the photos, they are gorgeous! We cannot wait go through the full gallery. Today has been quite emotional for me, I sobbed that it was all over and just wanted to put my dress on and do it all over again.â€
