An uber stylish Two-Day London wedding with an intimate church ceremony & big pub party!
If you’re planning a unique & stylish London wedding, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
When Cordi and Simon first got in touch with me about their super stylish two-day London wedding, I was so excited. They were planning a wonderful intimate church ceremony on the first day, followed by champagne and lunch with their closest family and friends. The second day was the reception for everyone and that was going to be a big old party in a pub. I first met Cordi when she was a bridesmaid for another of my couples (take a look at Amy & Jason’s Horniman Museum wedding). Cordi and Simon are the nicest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
DAY ONE – an intimate church wedding
I started photography at the church. This was a small ceremony, with Cordi & Simon’s closest family and friends. When I arrived I met up with Simon and his best man. Their guests started arriving and then Cordi pulled up in the car with her parents and bridesmaids. They married at St Mary Moorfields Church in the city. It’s the loveliest little church, tucked away on a busy London street. You could easily walk past without knowing it was there.
Cordi wore a fabulous two-piece top and skirt by House of Ollichon and chose a short veil and headpiece. She looked amazing.
After a wonderful ceremony, the newly married couple left the church to cheers and confetti. They then led their guests 100metres down the road to South Place Hotel where they were starting the celebrations. They had a private space on the roof terrace and enjoyed Champagne and canapes with lots of chat and laughter. I left Cordi & Simon to enjoy a leisurely lunch with their guests and made ready for day two of their two-day London wedding!
DAY TWO – a fabulous pub reception
Day two was the big wedding reception where all their friends and family came to celebrate with the happy couple. Cordi & Simon chose Tanner Warehouse as the venue for their reception party. It’s an amazing space in Bermondsey. The reception kicked off mid-afternoon with two cocktails chosen by the couple and tasty canapes. The couple greeted their guests as they arrived with hugs and the biggest smiles.
Cordi, Simon and I snuck out for a little wander around the area, while their guests finished up drinks and made their way to their seats. It was a gorgeously sunny and warm evening and we wandered past the old warehouse buildings and terraced houses stopping for photos along the way. We arrived back in time for the couple to be announced into dinner.
It was a very relaxed and fun evening. As dinner came to an end, Cordi scooted off for an evening outfit change. She appeared, ready for the party, in the most amazing white jumpsuit with sequinned trainers. Loved her style.
Speeches followed the food and there was a lot of laughter and as stories were told by Cordi’s dad and Simon. The best men then took the floor, followed by Cordi and then her bridesmaids. So much love and so many smiles. It was a joy to photograph the speeches and be a part of the day.
Cordi & Simon cut their cake and then it was dancing time. The couple led the way but were soon joined by their guests, all eager to hit the dancefloor. I left the happy couple and their guests partying the night away. This was an amazing stylish two-day London wedding, hope you enjoy!
