A colourful RSA House wedding in London with colourful flowers and two dresses
When Lin and James first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited. They were planning a colourful RSA House wedding in London. Lin and James are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Getting ready at Sea Containers Hotel
I started at Sea Containers, London, where the couple were getting ready. My first stop was with Lin, capturing a few photos while she had her make up and hair done. I then popped to James’s room to do some photos with him, his Dad and brother as they finished getting ready. I headed back to Lin’s room in time to capture her getting into her dress and the finishing touches before heading for RSA House. Lin wore a lacy dress and James wore blue suit and they looked really incredible. Lin also had a gorgeous red Chinese dress for the evening party.
The wedding ceremony at RSA House
The wedding ceremony took place at RSA House, in the Benjamin Franklin room, and was a gorgeous ceremony. They had some beautiful readings, which everyone enjoyed and smiled their way through the ceremony. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then the couple had a few moments while their guests made their way outside for confetti. While everyone was outside we did a few group photos before Lin and James and their guests had the drinks reception.
The wedding reception at RSA House
The drinks reception took place in the same room as the ceremony. While the guests enjoyed canapés and drinks, the couple mingled and caught up with their friends and family. Towards the end of the drinks I took the Lin and James for a wander for couples photos. We took a walk around the nearby streets, capturing some fun and relaxed portraits. It was a bright and sunny day, which was glorious.
The wedding breakfast was set up in The Great Room, which is a stunning place to celebrate the wedding. They had some wonderful, funny and very heartfelt speeches. Starting with a video call from Lin’s Dad and some of her family, who were still in China. The rest of the speeches, including one from the bride, were brilliant, lovely and funny.
After dinner and speeches everyone made their way downstairs to The Vaults ready for the first dance and party time! Lin changed dresses for the first dance and the couple made a great entrance launching into a brilliant first dance. The dance ended with James lifting Lin and spinning her round! Everyone piled onto the dance floor to join them and the party started.
It was such a pleasure to be a part of this colourful RSA House wedding. Enjoy!
