A beautiful & emotional wedding for two brides at Loft Studios in London
If you’re planning a wedding at Loft Studios, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
When Sara and Judith first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a really fun and laid back wedding with all their loved ones and a cocktail bar for the reception. Sara and Judith are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Two brides getting ready
I started at Loft Studios where both brides and their bridesmaids were getting ready. It was a hive of activity with make up and hair being done, dresses being adjusted and final plans being made. There was a real buzz of excitement.
Sara and Judith both looked really incredible in their wedding dresses. Their bridesmaids had colour coordinated their dresses, so Judith’s wore green and Sara’s wore tones of peach and pink. The flowers by Blue Sky Flowers were a perfect way to finish the looks.
The wedding for two brides at Loft Studios
The ceremony took place in one of the studios. A last minute change of plans (losing their registrar!) meant that their wedding was now going to be a celebrant led ceremony with their bridesmaids taking key roles. Even though this wasn’t their first plan, it actually made the day very special and their ceremony felt really personal as a result. The couple had personal vows they’d written themselves, which were amazing, emotional and funny. Two of the bridesmaids did readings, which brought a few tears. After the ceremony they walked down the aisle together, and then we did a confetti tunnel to welcome them into the reception.
The cocktail reception
The wedding reception took place in the courtyard, which is a great spot for mingling and chatting. The drinks were flowing and canapés being enjoyed. Everyone was having a great time. It was a bit of a mixed day weather wise with sunshine followed by crazy rain storms.
Two of the speeches took place in the courtyard during the drinks reception. They went down very well and were both funny and heartfelt, sharing a few stories about the two brides.
All the guests made their way into dinner while Sara and Judith waited in the courtyard so we could do a few photos of the two of them. They also took the opportunity to grab a few canapés. They made their entrance into dinner to cheers and dancing, truly one of the best entrances I have seen!
After dinner there were a few more speeches, from Judith’s Dad, Sara’s Dad and Sara. Everyone nailed their speech. It was then time for the cocktail hour back in the courtyard. While their guests were setting in enjoying their cocktails I whisked the couple away for a little wander down to the canal for a few relaxed photos.
Soon it was time for cake cutting and first dance. After Sara and Judith kicked off the dancing everyone piled onto the dance floor and the party really got started! It was a brilliant evening and everyone was having an amazing time. I totally loved being part of this amazing wedding for two brides at Loft Studios. Hope you enjoy too!
