A beautiful sunny Summer Hampton Court Palace wedding
When Jess and Nick got in touch about their Hampton Court Palace wedding I was very excited. There wedding plans sounded wonderful and I couldn’t wait to capture photos at Hampton Court Palace!
It was a scorching hot day in July when Jess & Nick married at St Mary’s Church in Hampton and then celebrated with their loved ones in The Garden Room at Hampton Court Palace.
The wedding morning
When I arrived at Jess’s parents home there was a buzz of nerves and excitement. Jess was in the middle of having her make up done while her family and bridesmaids were relaxing and enjoying the beautiful morning. Jess chose a soft, pretty make up look and I loved that she kept her softly styled with one simple hair accessory. It was a very relaxed morning, with bacon butties being eaten and Mary Poppins on the TV to keep the little flower girl (and the older bridesmaids!) entertained. The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their navy blue knee-length dresses and Jess looked amazing in her lace dress by Watters from London Bride Couture.
Wedding Ceremony at St Marys Church in Hampton
The ceremony took place at St Mary’s Parish Church in Hampton and was a very happy part of the day. Lots of smiles, giggles and a funny moment as the hot day meant the rings didn’t fit quite as easily as they would normally! At the end of the ceremony Jess & Nick walked back down the aisle to cheers and happy tears. While the couple headed to Hampton Court Palace in a vintage car, the guests travelled on the wedding bus.
The reception for the Hampton Court Palace wedding
As soon as we arrived, Jess, Nick and I took a walk around Hampton Court Palace for relaxed couples photos. It really is the most amazing place and very special to take photos there.
Back in the gardens, the couple were greeted by cheers from their guests and a very welcome drink of champagne. The sunny weather made for the most perfect wedding reception as everyone relaxed and enjoyed drinks and canapés in the garden. Jess and Nick had chosen very simple table decorations, with little bags of lavender as favours and aromatic lavender plants as the centrepiece of each table. A beautiful white cake decorated with simple blue and lace ribbons that matched the bridesmaids dresses sat in the corner with its fabulous ‘Mr & Mrs Brown’ topper.
Dinner and speeches soon followed with lots of laughter, some friendly teasing and a lot of love all around. I whisked Jess and Nick away for a few more photos after speeches. It was a chance to grab the sunset in front of this beautiful building. By this time all the tourists had gone home and we had the place to ourselves. It was so much fun to wander around the grounds on our own and capture some stunning golden hour photos. A perfect way to round up couples photos for a Hampton Court Palace wedding.
Jess and Nick’s first dance was extra special as the music was played by their friend’s band. The dance floor filled and everyone was ready to party the night away.
I loved being part of this beautiful Summer Hampton Court Palace wedding. It was a really fun, relaxed and beautiful wedding day.
