Relaxed London Engagement Photoshoot – Natural Couples Photography
Celebrating love in London is always something special, and engagement photoshoots bring excitement, anticipation, and joy. This relaxed London couples photoshoot was all about capturing exactly that.
From the start, the focus of the session was on keeping everything natural and easy-going. Engagement shoots should never feel stiff or overly posed. Instead, they’re about capturing genuine connection, shared laughter, and those quiet in-between moments that truly reflect a couple’s relationship.
For Gev & Ganesh’s London engagement photoshoot we began our wander near Tower Bridge, one of London’s most iconic backdrops. The riverside setting, combined with the dramatic architecture, created a perfect place for relaxed, candid photos. Rather than over directing I encouraged movement. Walking together, chatting and simply enjoying the experience.
From there, we took a walk to explore a few other wonderful London locations. For every London shoot I do a bespoke route plan, including requested locations and a few places I love to go to. A stop near St Paul’s Cathedral works beautifully for engagement sessions, it is one of London’s most iconic landmarks.
We then spent time at Leadenhall Market, where the elegant architecture and warm tones created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. It’s always a favourite for couples who want something that feels both cinematic and distinctly London.
One of the most peaceful locations is St Dunstan in the East, a hidden gem tucked away from the busy streets. The combination of greenery and historic stonework is a beautiful contrast to the city’s energy.
Throughout the entire session, comfort and authenticity were key. It’s completely normal to feel a little unsure in front of the camera, which is why my approach is always fun, friendly, and relaxed. There’s no pressure to pose perfectly, just time to be yourselves and enjoy time together.
I’m proud to work with people from the LGBTQ+ community and to create an experience where everyone feels comfortable, confident, and completely at ease. Every love story deserves to be captured with warmth, care, and genuine celebration.
It was an absolute joy photographing this engagement session, and even more special to later go on and document their wedding day. Being invited to capture multiple chapters of a couple’s story is one of the most special parts of what I do. Engagement photoshoots are about more than images. They’re about celebrating a moment in time, embracing your connection, and creating memories that will only grow more meaningful with the years.
