A Lavender field family shoot with Sarah & Wayne
I had the great pleasure to photograph Sarah & Wayne’s wedding at Leeds Castle. So when they got in touch to tell me they were now proud parents and wanted to get some photos with their son I was thrilled. I had such a lovely time photographing their wedding so couldn’t wait to catch up with them.
They chose Mayfield Lavender farm in Banstead as a location for their lavender field family shoot. It was a perfect spot for photos of the lovely couple and their son.
We arrived early, as soon as the farm opened, so had the place to ourselves for a while. It soon filled up but was easy to wander and find quiet spots for photos. I like family photoshoots to be relaxed and fun, and very much take a guide from the little one(s). Lots of cuddles, tickling and swinging through the air are the name of the game. If snack time calls, we stop for snacks!
Sarah and Wayne’s little boy is adorable, so cheeky and smiley. It was a total pleasure to meet him and have the chance to see Sarah & Wayne again. Sarah’s mum also came along so we could get a few photos with Grandma too!

The lavender fields at Mayfield Lavender are fabulous (and I discovered not far from my home!). This was a morning shoot, but I would love to do a shoot here at sunset, I can only imagine how beautiful it would look with some golden light cascading over the field.
