Pretty, flower filled Autumn wedding at Kew Gardens
If you’re looking for Kew Gardens wedding photography, you’ll love this wedding!
When Holly and David first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so excited – they were planning a relaxed beautiful wedding with amazing flowers by Johanna Hedrick, wonderful friends & family and drinks in the garden for the reception. Holly and David are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Getting ready at the Coach & Horses
I started at the Coach & Horses on Kew Green, where the bride and her wedding party were getting ready. It was really relaxed vibe when I arrived. Everyone was enjoying the morning, chatting, having a few Proseccos and getting excited about the day ahead. Holly’s mum was there, along with her bridesmaids. Holly wore stunning dress by Suzanne Neville and David wore dark blue suit with green tie and they looked really amazing. Once they were ready Holly and her mum and bridesmaids walked across the green to Cambridge Cottage, where the ceremony was taking place.
The wedding ceremony at Cambridge Cottage
The wedding ceremony took place at Cambridge Cottage in Kew Gardens, and was a gorgeous service. They had the most amazing flowers decorating the room. Holly & Davids son was a part of their wedding, being carried down the aisle by Holly’s mum. The couple exchanged their vows surrounded by their loved ones, which so lovely and special. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then the celebrations began. Happily the weather played ball and Holly, David and their guests enjoyed the drinks reception in the garden.
Kew Gardens is one of my favourite places, not least because you get to scoot around on a buggy to explore the gardens with the newly married couple! It’s a lot of fun. Holly and David sat on the back of the buggy as we made our way around Kew Gardens, stopping for photos at a few fabulous locations and capturing some gorgeous, relaxed photos of the two of them. The great thing about Kew Gardens wedding photography is that whatever the season there is somewhere beautiful to do photos.
Wedding reception & evening party
The wedding reception and dinner took place inside Cambridge Cottage. The room is a gorgeous, light filled space and looked amazing with all the flowers and tables set up. After a delicious dinner it was time for speeches. A wonderful mix of happy, heartfelt and some funny stories entertained all the guests and made for some great photos.
We were so lucky with the weather and had the most beautiful sunset that appeared after dinner. I took Holly and David for a wander in the gardens next to Cambridge Cottage to capture a few lovely golden hour photos. We got photo bombed by the groomsmen, who had some fun doing ‘walking shots’ together with the groom!
Soon it was time for the evening party. The sun had set and after cutting their wedding cake, Holly and David we welcomed to the dance floor for their first dance. They were soon joined by their guests to get the party started!
Lovely words from Holly & David
“Omg Fiona we couldn’t love them more!! Thank you so much. They are perfect! Can’t stop looking at them!”
“Fiona was the perfect photographer for our wedding at Cambridge Cottages, Kew Gardens. We highly recommend her. The pictures are better than we could have hoped and she captured the entire feel of the day. We’ve had lots of compliments! The whole process of working with Fiona was stress free and fun. She is really responsive to emails and she was so on it throughout the day that we got all the pictures we wanted but barely felt like we had to be away from our guests. It was lovely to have her as part of our wedding!”
