Relaxed Kew Gardens engagement shoot
Carl and Jack are getting married this Summer and I am so excited to be photographing their day.
They are the loveliest couple and their wedding day will be amazing. Like many couples they are also a little nervous about having their photo taken. To help combat these nerves we arranged a relaxed Kew Gardens engagement shoot. It’s a great way to get used to having your photo taken as well as enjoy some time together at a place that is special.
Kew Gardens is somewhere Carl and Jack love to go to. They have membership but admitted they hadn’t been for a while, so this was a great excuse for a visit.
We met on a very hot and very sunny morning in August last year (almost a year before their wedding date). Doing a shoot in the morning is often a perfect time. Not only is the light a little easier (you want to avoid midday when its very sunny!). But it’s generally quieter in mornings, with less people around. Always a good idea for those who are nervous about having photos done.
We wandered, chatted, stopped for photos. The couple chose a route to include some of their favourite spots in the gardens. It was a really lovely, relaxed engagement shoot and a real pleasure to spend time with Carl and Jack. We ended the shoot with tea and cake in the Orangery cafe and a bit more chat.
