Gorgeous Horniman Museum wedding where Japan meets New Zealand
I was thrilled to bits when Amy first got in touch about photographing her Horniman Museum wedding. This was a place I knew well from taking my son to visit the Aquarium and spending hours wandering the museum and gardens. It is a stunning venue in South East London and one I had wanted to work at for a while.
I also loved the plans Amy & Jason had for their wedding. They wanted to include aspects of both their backgrounds and heritage (and their love of travel) to make the day truly unique to them, and something their guests would enjoy.
To bring a little of Amy’s Japanese heritage they included Bonzai and paper cranes (all lovingly made by Amy’s mum). Jason brought a little of his homeland to the wedding with a surprise Haka performed by the amazing Ngati Ranana Maori Club. He and his groomsmen also joined in, to make it even more memorable!
From start to finish their day was amazing. A beautiful, laid back, fun and emotional wedding day. Lots of laughs, shots drunk after the speeches, crazy dancing and a Haka! All set in a gorgeous venue with views across London. It was a joy to be a part of and an absolute pleasure to photograph this Horniman Museum wedding.
Why not take a moment and have a look through this wonderful wedding in South East London…with a Haka!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of Amy & Jason’s fabulous Horniman Museum wedding.
