Springfield Farm Festival Wedding extravaganza
When Jac and Nick first got in touch with me about their festival wedding in Hertfordshire, I was so excited – they were planning a full-on festival wedding extravaganza with bucking bronco, ice cream van, a fireworks display and even an Oasis cover band. Jac and Nick are the most fun people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Getting ready
The drinks were going down well and hair and makeup were in full flow when I arrived. The morning prep was at the couples home, where the bride and her family and friends were getting ready. It was so much fun because all the girls were there and everyone was super excited for the day ahead. Jac wore a stunning figure-hugging Pronovias dress with a lace back and Nick wore a stylish blue suit. They looked so incredible!
The ceremony
The marriage took place at their local church and was a traditional ceremony. The ceremony was filled with laughs, some cheeky looks and lots of celebration. It was a family orientated moment and all their children were very much part of it. Jac’s son walked her down the aisle. One of their children did a reading, which was so beautifully read. They even made sure their beloved dog was there for the ceremony. After the ceremony, there were hugs all round and so many smiley faces. After a bit of confetti throwing, it was time for the couple to join their guests on the big red bus to the reception.
The reception
The wedding reception took place at Springfield Farm, which is a fabulous spot for a festival wedding. The set up was amazing. They had teepees, hay bales, flags, bunting and so much colour. It was incredible.
It was a bright and sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed canapes and drinks, the couple mingled and laughed with their friends. We did a few family photos and I whisked the couple away from the crowd for a few photos of the two of them.
The whole vibe of the day was relaxed and fun, and everyone was definitely ready to party! For the wedding breakfast, they had a buffet, which was absolutely delicious. After the meal there were a few speeches, then the party got started. The DJ kicked off his first set, which got a people dancing inside and out of the teepee. Before long it was time for the live music and the Oasis tribute band. This was a real highlight and they were amazing. My husband is a huge Oasis fan so I was even sending him a quick video!
The evening
This was one of those weddings I will never forget. As the light went the DJ started his second set, the party moved into the teepee and the dancefloor filled. There was a brief break for fireworks, a surprise from the couple for their guests. Then it was back to the party. I left the couple ready to party into the wee small hours (and I’m sure they did!)
Here’s their amazing festival wedding extravaganza wedding! It was a real joy to be there to photograph Jac & Nick’s wedding.
