Britain meets Morocco for this elegant wedding at Hedsor House
The Day Before the Big Day…
Sinhoué & Kevin had friends and family travelling from across the world to celebrate with them. While they had all their fave people in one place they decided to make most of it and the day before the wedding took their guests for a luxury Thames cruise on The New Orleans boat from Henley. It was a lovely couple of hours floating on the river, with afternoon tea, a live jazz trio and plenty of watching the world float by.
Wedding Day…
The most fabulous wedding at Hedsor House.
Sinouhé and Kevin got married in summer at the beautiful Hedsor House, which is a magnificent country house in Buckinghamshire. It was such a happy day and so much fun with the Moroccan influences!
The day started with Sinouhé getting ready at the stunning hotel, Cliveden House. It was a very lovely and quiet start to the day with just the bride and her mum having makeup done and getting ready for the wedding ceremony. They travelled from the hotel to Hedsor House in an elegant vintage Rolls Royce and were welcomed by the bridesmaids and flowers girls, who looked fabulous in bright coral and orange coloured dresses.
The ceremony was a beautiful service in the main hall. An elegant room, with natural light filling the space and pretty flowers decorating the mezzanine. During the ceremony, they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was so meaningful and so personal.
The reception was out in the garden at the venue. They chose Hedsor House because it is such an incredible place indoors and out and they just fell in love with it. Towards the end of the drinks reception Sinouhé, Kevin and I took a wander to capture some relaxed portraits in the grounds.
They made the most of the whole venue, having drinks and canapés outdoors in the afternoon, and live music in the main hall in the evening. There was a jazz band playing during the drinks reception and a Moroccan band who played as everyone entered the dining room. The couple entered dancing to the music, while their guests all stood, joined in and waved their napkins in the air. It was the most fabulous way to make an entrance!
The dining room was decorated with simple colourful flowers and a scented candle gift for every guest. They chose a macaron tower instead of a traditional wedding cake, which went down a treat!
As the day turned to the evening the party started. Sinouhé and Kevin had learned a choreographed dance, which they performed brilliantly. The band then started and their guests filled the dance floor. These guys were definitely up for plenty of dancing! It was awesome.

This was a wonderful, elegant wedding at Hedsor House. Made special with the inclusion of Moroccan traditions as well as British ones. Very much a meeting of two countries for one celebration.
