Autumn Gaynes Park wedding in September

If you’re planning a Gaynes Park wedding, you’ll love this for autumn ideas!

When Alexandra and Charlie first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so happy – they were planning a beautiful relaxed September wedding at Gaynes Park with the whole day at the venue. Alexandra and Charlie are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Bride and groom prep

I started at Gaynes Park, where both the bride and groom were getting ready, and it was a wonderful morning, because everyone was in a good mood and so excited. After spending a little time with Alexandra and the bridesmaids I popped in to see Charlie. He was a little nervous as he got ready with his groomsmen. The couple looked amazing with Alexandra in a Maggie Sottero lace dress and Charlie in a navy three piece suit.

The ceremony in the Orangery at Gaynes Park

The wedding took place at the orangery Gaynes Park, and was so wonderful. As they said their vows there were happy tears from everyone, it was so beautiful and special. They were surrounded by their family and closest friends and it clearly meant the world to them. After the ceremony there was a big cheer from everyone, and then they were showered with confetti before starting the celebrations.

Garden drinks reception & evening party

The wedding reception took place in the barn at Gaynes Park, which they’d decorated with beautiful flowers in autumnal colours, keepsake candles & sweets on each place setting. It was so wonderfully personalised and looked gorgeous.

It was a bright and sunny day, which was glorious. While the guests enjoyed drinks, canapes and the sunshine, the couple mingled while I took candids. The couple had a saxophonist playing background music. After a handful of relaxed family photos I took Alexandra & Charlie for a wander round the grounds at Gaynes Park. There are so many gorgeous spots for photos here, you really are spoiled for choice. Check it out below!

During the reception they had a delicious meal, which went down a storm. Afterwards, there were a few speeches and while the barn was being set up for the evening party everyone made their way back to the garden the enjoy the evening sunshine and a few more drinks. As the sun went down we were lucky enough to have the most amazing sunset, so we made the most of the gorgeous evening for some golden hour photos. We made our way back to the barn in time for cake cutting and dancing. After a fabulous first dance everyone got ready for an evening full of dancing, food and celebrating.
