Festive Winter wedding at Moor Park in Hertfordshire
If you love fairy lights and baubles then you’ll love this festive Winter wedding!
Genna and Callum got married at the gorgeous Moor Park, Hertfordshire, last December. It was a wonderful Wintery wedding, with fairy lights and baubles everywhere and Wintery flowers and decor filling the venue. They even had an enormous Christmas tree in the main hall.
Getting ready in the bridal suite
Genna got ready in the bridal suite of the venue with her mum, gran and bridesmaids. There was a relaxed and happy vibe with a little nervous anticipation! Which is only to be expected. Genna’s mum and gran helped her into her dress. She wore a stunning high necked Suzanne Neville dress and looked so elegant. Her bridesmaids were wowed when they saw her and there were one or two tears.
Callum got ready at his parent’s house a short drive away. He had his groomsmen there to help out and keen the nerves steady! He had chosen to wear a fabulous Ted Baker suit and looked really handsome. The boys travelled to the ceremony in a fancy wedding car and had some fun posing by the car when they got to Moor Park.
When everyone had arrived and it was ‘go time’ the wedding party walked down the grand staircase to get to the ceremony. As entrances go its a pretty good one!
The ceremony at Moor Park
The ceremony took place in one of the beautiful rooms at the venue. The ceremony area was filled with candles and Christmas decor, which was just stunning. Everything was perfect to create the festive Winter wedding the couple wanted. The ceremony began with several beautiful readings from friends and family and finished with a big cheer from everyone. It was a romantic ceremony, full of so much love and a few happy tears.
Drinks & Couples photos
After the ceremony, we took some time out for photos, which is such a great time for the newly married couple to have some time to let it sink in. I got some really special couples photos outdoors – Genna and Callum relaxed, chatted and took it all in, while I took some photos. There were lots of cuddles to keep the couple warm on a cold Winters day. The weather was a little chilly, but that didn’t put a dampener on moods.
The new Mr & Mrs then joined their guests for drinks and canapes, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos.
Genna and Callum chose to have their wedding at Moor Park because they wanted somewhere beautiful and elegant that they could have for the whole day. Moor Park is a stunning venue, it’s such a spectacular space, especially the grand hall where the main reception is held. It really did make the perfect place for a festive Winter wedding.
The evening & dancing
After dinner came the speeches. Lots of love shared, lots of laughter and a fair bit of embarrassment! All great fun and great photos!
The bride and groom led the way out of the dining room and into the party. The band started up and after a lovely first dance, and the party got started. The live band kept everyone entertained all evening.
