The UK and USA came together for this very stylish & elegant Botleys Mansion Wedding

Lauren and Sam married in Autumn with an elegant Botleys Mansion wedding, a stunning country house in Surrey.

“OMG!!!! I AM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!!!! Fiona, these photos are UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They have 100000% exceeded my expectations!! You are amazing!! I can’t wait to sit down tonight and study each photo properly!!! You are the best!!” – Lauren & Sam

Getting ready at Botleys Mansion

Lauren got ready in the bridal suite of the venue with her bridesmaids and mum. The atmosphere was full of excitement when I arrived. Once all the hair & make up was done Lauren gave out her gifts to the bridesmaids and her and Sam’s mum. She then opened the gift Sam had given to her. Reading a note from your loved one moments before the ceremony is always an emotional time.

Before getting Lauren into her dress they cracked open the champagne. A perfect way to kick off the celebrations. Lauren looked stunning in her Margaret Moreland dress.

Sam got ready in another room in the venue. He had his groomsmen there to help out and keep the nerves steady! As both bride and groom got ready in the rooms at Botleys Mansion it was simply a case of wandering downstairs to the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony at Botleys Mansion

The ceremony took place in a beautiful room at the venue, which had been decorated with a flower arch, petals and pretty flower arrangements on the chairs. Laurens brother played the violin as she walked down the aisle with her dad and the service was officiated by a member of Laurens’ family, which made it even more special and personal. During the ceremony, they read their own vows, which made for a very emotional and happy ceremony. As they were announced husband and wife, Sam swooped Lauren into his arms and they had a fabulous first kiss. Their guests gave them the loudest cheers at this point!

The outdoor drinks reception – elegant Botleys Mansion wedding

The weather that day was beautiful, a warm and sunny early Autumn day. Happily, the drinks reception took place outside the house on the sweeping drive. The couple made their entrance into the reception to cheers and confetti and then it was time for drinks, canapes and celebrations. While they mingled with their guests I captured natural wedding photos of the couple and their guests. We took some time to get a few family and group photos and towards the end of the drinks reception I whisked the happy couple away for some quiet time and photos together.

Lauren and Sam met via friends while on holiday. Lauren is from the US and Sam from the UK so for a long time they had a long-distance relationship, each taking it in turn to visit the other, keeping things going with online chats, calls and emails. Not an easy way to start and build a relationship, but these two are clearly meant to be together. They are the loveliest couple and spending some time with the two of them during the couples photos was a real pleasure. They are clearly madly in love and a wonderful couple.

It was soon time for them to make their entrance into dinner and they really did it in style. Their parents and their wedding party were each introduced and made their entrance down the stairs in their own unique ways. Finally, the new Mr & Mrs were announced into the room to very loud cheers.

After dinner, it was speech time. Emotional moments, heartfelt words and some very embarrassing stories made for some great speeches. As the evening reception started the cake was cut and Lauren threw her bouquet (always fun).

The Botleys Mansion wedding party!

Soon it was time for the first dance. Lauren and Sam did a fabulous dance, with swirls, twirls and even a lift! It was very impressive and wonderful to watch. Their guests didn’t need asking twice to get the party started as they filled the dance floor and danced the night away.

Lauren and Sam’s wedding had a really fun atmosphere and was such a beautiful day. Here’s their awesome wedding!
