Stunning outdoor wedding, Wadhurst Castle wedding photography
When Maria and Michael first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so happy they were planning the most beautiful outdoor wedding with an outdoor ceremony and a garden party reception. Maria & Michael are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
The wedding morning with bride and groom
There were two of us capturing Wadhurst Castle wedding photography for Maria & Michael. I started at Wadhurst Castle, where the bridal party were getting ready, and it was really exciting because everyone was in a good mood. My second photographer, Jesse, was with Michael and his groomsmen. Their morning was very chilled as they enjoyed a few drinks before getting ready to head to Wadhurst Castle.
Maria wore a stunning fitted ivory dress with a low back and Michael wore a stylish light-coloured jacket with navy trousers. They looked amazing!
The outdoor wedding ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place in the walled garden at Wadhurst Castle. The garden is a beautiful place to get married and they had lots of flowers around to decorate the ceremony area. The vows were really special and it was an emotional ceremony. Afterwards, they walked down the aisle to cheers and confetti.
The garden party reception
Maria and Michael had a garden party reception on the lawn overlooking beautiful views. It was a sunny day, which was what the couple had hoped for. While the guests enjoyed canapés and drinks, the couple mingled while we captured natural, fun candid photos. Michael is a big cricket fan so wanted to include it as part of the reception games. After a few drinks, the first game of cricket started, which both the bride and groom got involved in, which was so much fun.
While their guests found their seats for dinner, I took Maria and Michael for a walk in the gardens, to capture a few relaxed photos. They were cheered into the wedding breakfast. Afterward, they had some wonderful speeches (plenty of laughs and some happy tears) and then the party got started.
The first dance made way for a packed dance floor as everyone got ready to party the night away. It was such a warm evening guests spilled back onto the lawn for more cricket. Maria and Michael and I grabbed a few moments to capture some sunset photos. I left them chatting with their guests and having the best time.
It was such a pleasure to be a part of their wedding and do their Wadhurst Castle wedding photography. Here’s their wedding day story…
