Relaxed Autumnal Anglesey Abbey Engagement shoot

Kathy and Michael are getting married later this year. It was great to meet up with them for their Anglesey Abbey engagement shoot at the end of last year.

When booking their wedding photography package they chose to add an engagement shoot. They were a little nervous about having photos taken so thought it would help them feel more comfortable about being in front of the camera. An engagement shoot is great for a practice run before being centre of attention on the big day!

When it comes to choosing a location for a shoot I am very much guided by my couples. Kathy and Michael have visited Anglesey Abbey a number of times and always enjoyed wandering in the grounds and exploring the gardens. It seemed a perfect place for their shoot.

We chose September as a time where the gardens still look good from the end of Summer, but it wouldn’t be too busy. The leaves were starting to turn slightly golden, so we had beautiful Autumnal colours popping up here and there. It was a quiet day and we met up early to get in as the gardens opened.

Lots of walking and chatting. Stopping for photos when we spotted places that looked good. It was a very relaxed photo session and really lovely to get to know Kathy and Michael a bit better.

I am very much looking forward to their wedding day. Enjoy the photos from this Anglesey Abbey engagement shoot.
