Hattie & George’s beautiful summer Hedsor House wedding
If you’re planning a Hedsor House wedding, you’ll love this wedding!
When Hattie and George first got in touch with me about their Hedsor House wedding, I was so thrilled. Hedsor House is one of my favourite venues, so I was immediately excited. They were planning the most beautiful wedding with lots of flowers and an elegant, relaxed vibe with drinks in the garden for the reception. Hattie and George are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
Ahead of the big day the couple chose to do an engagement shoot. This is always a lovely thing to do. We had a chance to catch up, get to know each other and get some relaxed photos of the two of them. You can see their Kyoto Gardens and Holland Park engagement shoot here.
I photographed George’s brother’s wedding a few years before, so I was really looking forward to catching up with Wayne, Sarah and their families at the wedding. (Pop over here to see Sarah & Wayne’s beautiful wedding at Leeds Castle)
Wedding morning at Hedsor House
We started at Hedsor House, where both the bride and groom were getting ready. They have two getting ready spaces at Hedsor House so have the ease of getting ready at the venue without bumping into each other. It was a really exciting morning because everyone was in a good mood and looking forward to the day ahead. Hattie wore a lace-detailed dress and George wore a morning suit and they looked really incredible.
The wedding ceremony at Hedsor House
The wedding took place at Hedsor House and was gorgeous. The room was filled with flowers and the couple exchanged their own vows. They had some beautiful readings, which were just magical. After the ceremony, they walked down the aisle together. They had a few moments together while their guests made their way outside and then Hattie and George exited to lots of bubbles! Bubbles are a great alternative to confetti and look amazing.
The drinks reception at Hedsor House
The drinks reception took place in the gardens, which are a perfect place for drinks and canapés. The wedding breakfast was set up in the room overlooking the gardens. There were gorgeous florals in pink, white and green throughout the room. It was so incredible.
It was a beautifully sunny day, which was perfect. While the guests enjoyed themselves and the couple mingled and chatted to everyone we were taking candid photos. At the end of the drinks reception, I took Hattie and George for a walk, to capture some relaxed photos of the two of them. It’s always a lovely time, and a chance for the bride and groom to catch up on the day and take it all in.
Hattie and George were announced into the wedding breakfast to loud cheers. Afterwards, they had some brilliant speeches which included a slideshow or two. Everyone had made such an effort with the speeches and they went down a storm!
We were lucky to have the most extraordinary sunset so I made sure to whisk the happy couple outside for a few minutes to make the most of golden hour and get some gorgeous evening portraits. When we had finished it was time for the evening party to get going. The band brought the party and after the first dance everyone piled on the dance floor. Before I finished for the day Hattie and George got everyone outside for sparklers and I then left them to party the night away.
