A beautiful Autumn wedding at Kew Gardens
If you’re planning a Kew Gardens wedding, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration!
When Leonie and Andrei first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled – they were planning a beautiful autumn wedding with first look photos, a cocktail hour and reception in the Orangery. Leonie and Andrei are the loveliest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!
I started at Kew Gardens, where I met the happy couple for first look photos. They chose to see each other before the wedding to give us time for relaxed photos around Kew Gardens before the ceremony. They chose to do this partly because of the time of year (losing the light not long after the ceremony) and partly because they loved the idea of having time for the two of them with no pressure. Leonie wore a stunning long sleeve lace dress and Andrei wore a stylish navy suit and they looked really incredible. I love doing first looks! It’s so exciting for the couple to have that time to see each other and take it all in before the ceremony. Plus having plenty of time to wander round Kew Gardens for photos is fabulous!
Kew Gardens is gorgeous throughout the year, but I do love Autumn colours and we found fabulous places for photos.
The ceremony at the Nash Conservatory
The wedding took place in the Nash Conservatory in Kew Gardens, and it was a beautiful ceremony. Leonie & Andrei walked down the aisle together and had their daughter and immediate family waiting at the front. They had personal vows they’d written themselves, which brought pretty much everyone to tears. They had wonderful readings from friends. As they were announced married there was the biggest cheer and they walked down the aisle to a mass of bubbles. This was so much fun, especially for the kids who had been given bubble guns, and is a great option if you can’t have confetti.
The reception at the Orangery in Kew Gardens
The wedding reception took place in two locations. They started with drinks in the nash conservatory, and as it got dark they then moved with their guests to the Orangery for the wedding breakfast. It was so incredible. The orangery looked amazing, dressed with green, pastel & white tones that perfectly complemented the surroundings.
During the wedding breakfast they had delicious food by Caper & Berry. After dinner they had some wonderful speeches that brought a few tears and plenty of laughs. For the evening party they had a live band, which was a huge hit. Leonie and Andrei cut their cake, then took to the dance floor for their first dance. The photo booth kept everyone entertained and people were ready to dance the night away.
I loved every minute of their beautiful Autumn Kew Gardens wedding. It was such a pleasure to be part of their day. They worked with amazing wedding planners Revelry Events.
